Summer Sizzle

What a GREAT night it was!!!!!!!!!!!. Thank you to Mrs Stocks, the PFA, staff and parents for masterminding the evening. £1740 was raised which will go towards the outdoor project highlighted in a recent newsletter. We have one unclaimed raffle prize - white ticket number 200. Congratulations to Dani Barrett on winning the world cup sweepstake and to Mrs Deakin and Mrs Powell on winning the wheelbarrow of wine!

Speeding Cars

Residents of Manor Park have notified me of a number of cars going at high speed. Please keep speed to a minimum - thank you.

Bike Shed

The Nursery and After School Club bike shed is now in place and ready for use. It is situated behind the large nursery shed by their sports field.

School Texting Service

We used this service for the first time recently for the Reception year group and it worked very well. However, some mobile telephone details were out of date. Please can you inform the office if you need to change your details. Thank you.

School Meals

From September the price of school meals will increase to £2 per day or £10 per week. Please may cheques payable to ‘Notts County Council’.

Attendance Issues

A few parents have queried unauthorised absences and late marks. It is our policy to mark children’s absences as unauthorised if we have not received an adequate explanation either by telephone or letter. If a holiday is taken and has not been approved by the school or is more than 10 days in one academic year then it will also be recorded as unauthorised. Research shows that absences, including holidays, which are more than 10 days in any given year significantly affect the learning outcomes for children. We would advise parents not to take holidays during term time for this reason.

Pupils arriving at school between 8.45 and 9.00am will be recorded as late. Pupils arriving late after 9.00am will be recorded as unauthorised.
