Welcome to our school

We are very proud of our school and we look forward to welcoming you and your child into our School Family.

At James Peacock Infant and Nursery School we aim to provide the highest quality education in all aspects, so that all of our children have every opportunity to fulfil their potential, by achieving the highest standards possible and making continuous progress.

Welcome to our new website. It is great to welcome you here, we hope it provides you with the information you need but please do feel free to contact the office or class teachers if there is information you still need after your virtual visit today.

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher here at James Peacock Infant and Nursery School. Having joined the school as Deputy and SENCo in April 2021, I have with the team overseen rapid changes and improvement to really ensure children are getting the best experience.

We pride ourselves on truly living our vision; Proud Children, Proud Staff, Proud Parents. All we strive for revolves around the children being at the heart of our decisions. We ensure that we deliver a broad, balanced and memorable curriculum to really give our children the best start in their education journey. We want to build independence and curiosity through a sense of belonging and community. By ensuring we celebrate each child for the individuality they bring to our community we ensure that all children feel a sense of belonging, when children feel safe and confident they can excel in their learning.

Our curriculum is mapped to ensure that skills and knowledge are progressive from F1 to Year 2. We have adapted our curriculum to ensure key concepts are taught and built upon through exciting, relevant and thought-provoking topics. We give children the tools here to challenge preconceptions and ask questions about the world around them in order to prepare them for the next stage of their education.

We have created excellent links with St Peter’s Junior school to ensure the transition is supportive and familiar.

We look forward to welcoming you to school to find out more about what is so special about James Peacock.

Mrs Cutts
