Our Equality Objectives

At James Peacock Infant and Nursery School, we are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for all children, staff, parents and carers, irrespective of race, gender, disability, belief, religion or socio-economic background.

Equality Objectives:

In order to further support children, raise standards and ensure inclusive teaching, we have set the following objectives:-

Objective 1: To increase the level of understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion through a well mapped curriculum to ensure opportunities to challenge preconceived ideas in order to participate in Britain’s multi-ethnic society and in the wider context of an independent world.

Objective 2:  To increase levels of Pupil, Staff and Parent voice to ensure all voices are heard, validated and celebrated for their contribution in order to continue to provide equality of opportunities for all pupils and staff.

Objective 3:  To narrow the gap in achievement of pupils in disadvantaged groups and children who speak English as an additional language in all year groups compared with all students.
